How to set a "Not to Exceed Rate"/Statement Cap or Utility Cap
A cap can be applied to a resident's statement or a utility setting the maximum amount a resident will be charged on their statement or utility. Even if actual usage or costs go higher than the set cap, the charges passed to the resident will not exceed this set limit.
- Start by logging into Save.livable.com/ login.
- Next, locate the property you would like to apply a cap to.
- Locate the Resident, to the right of the Resident's name, select the three dots.
- Select, "BillingSettings"
- Select the pencil icon to the right of "Enrolled in billing"

To set a "Not to Exceed Rate" or Statement Cap:
A "Not to Exceed Rate," also known as a Statement Cap can be applied to a residents ledger to limit the statment amount no matter how much the actual statement charges are.
- Locate "Statement cap."
- To the right of "Statement cap," under "Statement cap amount," enter the amount you would like to cap the resident's statment.
- Once you are done, scroll to the top and click "Save."
To set a Utility Cap:
A Utility Cap can be applied to a residents ledger to limit the statment amount for a specific utility no matter how much the actual utility charges are.
- Locate the utility you would like to apply a cap to, you can apply a cap to multiple utilities.
- To the right of the utility under "Utility cap," enter the amount you would like to cap the resident's utility.
- Once you are done, scroll to the top and click "Save."
